New project – Knights House, Sutton Coldfield

PWF are delighted to have been contracted to supply aluminium windows and doors, as well as curtain walling to the Knights House, Sutton Coldfield development.

More about the development
A collection of 65 luxury apartments in the Royal town of Sutton Coldfield. A project in excess of £500k, PWF have undertaken the design, man and installation of this project

Royal Sutton Coldfield is a former borough town. The town is a vibrant hub with plenty of things to do and see. It is the largest place to shop and relax within Birmingham outside of the City Centre. Knight’s House occupies and envious position in the Heart of the town.

Just a 25-minute train journey from the city centre; Royal Sutton Coldfield is the authentic gem in Birmingham’s crown. John Lewis’s flagship store, the newly opened Tiffany boutique in the iconic Selfridges building, and Harvey Nichols provide upmarket shopping for Birmingham’s growing luxury marketplace. A handful of Michelin star restaurants and emerging street food movements add to the appeal.

Products used in the build
The super performing window system installed provides multipoint locking facilities for added security. Its versatility allows designers to incorporate extra-large sashes into the fenestration of façade. These windows are thermally efficient and can come in a variety of types and styles.

The ST door system used has a variety of profiles which allows for different door types to be fabricated and specified. All doors are internally beaded for extra security and all have been tested to meet with the requirements of Secured by Design.

The Facade TB50 curtain wall system was the ideal choice when it came to providing a facade or atrium roof light. Combining structural strength with aesthetic appearance the thermally broken, drained and ventilated Facade TB50 system offers the opportunity to include modern features in a building without compromising the thermal, acoustic or structural properties required to meet the highest standards in construction. This contemporary feature walling not only fulfils the client’s brief, but is also a sustainable solution to providing thermal and sound insulation
